History & background
Bred by the Chukchi people of northeastern Siberia as an endurance sled dog, the breed reached Alaska in 1908 and gained fame in sled racing and the 1925 Nome serum run. The AKC recognized it in 1930.
Is a Siberian Husky right for you?
