Pet insurance at the counter
Offer Kanguro pet insurance at handoff, from the register
Stores enrolled in the Kanguro program offer the buyer a pet insurance quote at the counter, before a puppy or kitten ticket closes. The buyer's details and the animal's details are already on the ticket, so the offer takes a minute, the buyer pays the insurer directly, and the store pays nothing. The outcome is recorded on the sale.
How it works
- 1
Enrol the store
The store joins the Kanguro program through Petlovin'. Once it is enrolled, the insurance step is on.
- 2
It appears before the close
When a ticket with a puppy or kitten is paid, the insurance step runs before the sale closes, with the buyer's and animal's details filled in.
- 3
The buyer decides
Enrol, or decline with an acknowledgement. Either way the outcome is on the sale and in the reports.
Kanguro and Petlovin': questions
Is insurance required to sell a pet in Petlovin'?
+
No. The insurance step only runs for stores enrolled in the Kanguro program. When it runs, the buyer is offered a quote and can decline with an acknowledgement.
Does the store pay for the insurance?
+
No. The buyer pays the insurer directly.
Can I use a different insurer?
+
The built-in step is Kanguro. A store with another arrangement can record it in the sale notes.
