Pet store POS

The register built around a puppy sale.

Ring up a puppy and a bag of food on one ticket. The deposit is already on it, the paperwork comes out of the pet’s record, and the family signs before they leave. Free, in any browser.

$0 per month · no card to sign up · runs on any computer or tablet

One ticket, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Ring it up

Tap a tile, search or scan a barcode. A pet is held the moment it lands in a cart, so two registers can never sell the same puppy.

  2. 02

    Take the money

Cash with the change worked out, a card run on your own terminal, financing, the deposit already on file, a gift card or store credit. Any mix, on one ticket.

  3. 03

    Sign the paperwork

The bill of sale, health guarantee and vaccination record come out of the pet's record with nothing left blank. The family signs on the counter or on their phone.

  4. 04

    Close

The pet is marked sold everywhere, stock moves, commission is written, the receipt is emailed and the family gets their welcome home package.

Deposits and holds

A deposit that actually holds the puppy.

Take the deposit, print or sign the hold agreement, and the pet is reserved everywhere: the counter, the storefront and your website.

  • The agreement fills in the amount and the pet's details from the record.
  • A second deposit on a held pet needs a manager's PIN, so a backup buyer is a decision, not an accident.
  • At the final sale the deposit is already on the ticket, with the buyer's name.
  • Refund it and the pet goes back on the floor. Deposits count as money held, not revenue, in the day's report.

Paperwork

Signed before they leave. Provable for years.

The packet is built from the pet's record at checkout, so nothing is left blank and nothing is copied by hand.

  • Bill of sale, health guarantee and vaccination record, signed on the counter screen or on the buyer's own phone.
  • Sealed PDFs with a trusted timestamp, a signing certificate and a page anyone can use to check them.
  • Copies are emailed to the family the moment the packet closes.
  • A pet sale will not close without the buyer's name. Finishing with an unsigned document needs a manager's PIN.
  • Any other agreement too: start from a template or your own PDF. Co-ownership, guardian homes, stud service.

Payments

Every way a family pays, on one ticket.

Split a $3,600 puppy across a deposit, a card and financing, and the balance is always on screen. Petlovin’ does not process cards: run the card on the terminal you already have and record it here, and it lands in the day’s report.

  • Cash

    change worked out

  • Card

    run on your own terminal

  • Check

    recorded on the ticket

  • Financing

    lender and reference

  • Hold deposit

    applied by itself

  • Gift card

    sell, redeem, reload

  • Store credit

    from a return

Supplies and stock

The food, the crate and the leash, too.

Most tickets have more than a pet on them. Products live next to the animals, with stock that moves when they sell.

  • Barcodes, stock counts and a reorder point per product. Scan an item and it is on the ticket.
  • Low-stock warnings, and a quick way to add stock when the shelf count is short.
  • One-tap discounts written in your own words, set up once in the register settings.
  • Write-offs for damaged or expired product, with the reason kept.

Control

Trust your team without watching them.

Each person gets their own login and exactly the access their job needs. The risky moves wait for a manager.

  • Choose which actions need a manager's PIN: voids, discounts, refunds, cash out of the drawer, deposit refunds and more.
  • Five wrong PINs pause the PIN, so it cannot be guessed at the counter.
  • Returns are tied to the original sale. Products go back into stock and a pet goes back on the floor.
  • Open and close the drawer, count the cash, and print the Z-report: expected against counted, and every kind of payment.

Commissions

Commission that adds up on its own.

Pet counselors get paid per sale, and often share one. The register writes it down as the ticket closes.

  • Commission plans per sale, as a percentage of price or margin, or a set amount per unit.
  • Split a sale between people, 60/40 or however you work.
  • An order-by-order ledger, and payouts marked when you pay them.
  • Refund the sale and the commission reverses by itself.

After the sale

The family walks out with more than a receipt.

Closing the ticket sets off everything that should happen next, without anyone remembering to.

  • A welcome home page for the family with what is left to do, counted. You see the same count on the sale and in the CRM.
  • Come Home lifetime lost-pet recovery: scan a tag onto the pet at the close, free for the life of the pet.
  • For stores enrolled in the Kanguro program, a pet insurance quote before the ticket closes.
  • The receipt is emailed when the family leaves an address, and if they came in as a lead, it is marked won in the CRM.

Orders and invoices

For the buyer who is not at the counter.

Write a catalogue up as an order for one family or a partner store, and send them the link.

  • They open every animal's profile and confirm the order from the link.
  • Each payment you record, by wire, Zelle, check or any other way, is a receipt against a numbered invoice.
  • Completing the order marks the pets sold, the same as a sale at the counter.

Everything in the register

  • A register for pets and products

Sell a puppy and a bag of food on one ticket. A pet is one of one, so it is held the moment it lands in a cart.

  • Deposits and holds

Take a hold deposit with a signed agreement, apply it to the final sale, or refund it.

  • Every kind of payment

Record cash, check, card, financing, deposit, gift card and store credit on one ticket, with change and balance worked out.

  • Paperwork at checkout

Bill of sale, health guarantee and records come out of the record, signed on the counter screen or on the buyer's own phone, sealed as PDFs with a verification page.

  • Any agreement, e-signed

Start from a ready template or upload your own PDF, place the fields where they go, and send it for signature. Co-ownership, guardian homes, stud service, anything.

  • Welcome home package

When a pet goes home, the family gets one page with what is left to do, counted: sign the paperwork, get an insurance quote, check their Come Home details, add their vet, register the chip. It goes out on its own when the sale closes, and you see the same "3 of 6" on the sale and in the CRM.

  • Insurance at handoff

Stores enrolled in the Kanguro program offer the buyer a pet insurance quote at the counter.

  • Come Home lost-pet recovery

Every pet sold gets lifetime lost-pet recovery at no charge: a coded tag scanned onto the pet at the counter, a tag page that reaches the family in one tap, the microchip number on file with the chip maker's registry one click away, lost alerts, a poster and share kit, and a yearly details check.

  • Products and stock

Food, crates and supplies with barcodes, stock counts, low-stock warnings and write-offs. Scan an item and it is on the ticket.

  • Returns, voids and approvals

Returns linked to the original sale, stock back on the shelf, manager PIN approvals for voids, discounts and refunds.

  • Shifts, drawers and reports

Open and close drawers, Z-reports, day totals, tender mix and per-person sales.

  • Commissions

Commission plans per sale, splits between people, an order-by-order ledger and payouts.

  • Orders and invoices

Write a catalogue up as an order for one customer or partner store. They open a link with every animal's profile and confirm; each payment you record is a receipt against a numbered invoice, and completing the order marks the pets sold.

Questions, answered

Does it take card payments?

+

Petlovin' does not process cards. Take the card on the terminal you already have and record it on the ticket; the tender is on the ticket and in the day's report.

What does the family get after the sale?

+

A welcome home package: one page with their pet, the health record and pedigree, and a short checklist of what is left to do, counted. Sign the paperwork, get an insurance quote if the store is enrolled, check their Come Home details, add their vet and register the microchip. It is emailed when the sale closes, and the store sees the same progress on the sale and in the CRM.

Does it do financing?

+

Financing is a tender on the ticket with the lender and reference recorded, so a financed sale closes cleanly and reports correctly. The buyer applies with their own lender; Petlovin' does not offer loans.

What about returns?

+

Returns are linked to the original ticket. Products go back into stock, a pet goes back on the floor, the refund goes to the original tender or to store credit, and any commission on the sale reverses in the ledger.
